Black Pearl

Black Pearl

Soundtrack: Pearls - Portland

In this ceramic object, a black disc serves as the 'pearl' and focal point, set within a composition of organic design.

The lid, where white clay strands form a natural frame around the pearl, creates a subtle interplay between light and dark.

The shape of the object is round and sturdy, with a surface covered in a fine texture reminiscent of coral structures. This texture gives the piece a tactile quality that invites touch.

The strength of the work lies in its contrast: a single black pearl against the white clay. The interplay between dark and light, between the fluid movement of the lid and the organic patterns of the surface, gives the object its distinctive character.
