Soundtrack: Across the Universe - Evanescence

This contemporary ceramic sculpture plays with the tension between the raw and the refined. The perfectly round form, made of stoneware clay enriched with wood ash, carries a history of fire and transformation. The weathered, meteoritic texture is reminiscent of archaeological findings, while light, white porcelain surfaces subtly illuminate the surface.

On the flat lid, a battle between materials unfolds. The coarse patches of glazed wood ash and the refined, almost translucent porcelain compete for dominance. Like frozen movement, the immaculate white rises from a bed of volcanic textures - a dance between the elementary and the polished, between primal force and elegance.

The interplay between the geometric spherical form and the free movement of the porcelain results in a meditative balance. The work transforms natural elements into an object that feels both ancient and contemporary.
